Is Thought Scour being played?

I heard some talk of Thought Scour being played in U/R delver to fill the grave? Or even throwing the opponent off tempo. Is this a thing? I guess it fuels Treasure Cruise up faster but is it worth it?
I was responding to the budget can trip question...

wnorris17 Since you're experimenting with Delver, try out a more controlling version, with no Swiftspears, 4 Snapcasters, and a number of Dig Through Time between 2 and 4. If you run Dig, you would also need a finisher, like Batterskull or keranos. Scour would still be decent, accelerating into a T4 Dig, while also cantripping into probably a Lightning Bolt.

Dig isn't as good as cruise in delver since all your spells are basically the same.

xlaleclx Certainly not in a control strategy delver deck. Cruise is good in decks with redundancy, like 8-Rack and RDW. Dig is definitely a way better effect when you want a specific card. Instant speed is also another reason to play it. If you have Keranos, God of Storms, Dig is far better than Cruise.

HHHmmm Cruise in 8rack...
My Rakdos 8Rack deck already runs a a Watery Grave for Spellskite ...I think I'll give cruise a try...

If cruise is played in 8-rack, burn, and delver it won't get banned. Tarmogoyf is played in twin, junk, Jund, rug delver, bug midrange, zoo, some Melira pod, and battle of wits.
In more than one of those decks, green was splashed just for goyf.
The argument of banning due to splash ability is also weak due to Treasure Cruise not dominating every top 8.

I honestly don't think Treasure Cruise will work that well in 8Rack. I can't imagine drawing an extra 3 Thoughtseize late game will help anything. Dig Through Time may though... had it been more spashable. The trouble with 8rack is drawing a balanced proportion of cards. One of the most annoying weakness's of the deck is that it's own draws can be the enemy. You need to get The Racks online and have a good amount of discard. Often times you'll draw a bunch of The Rack and Shrieking Affliction but no additional discard or vice versa. ...Serum Visions would probably do more for the deck than Treasure Cruise.
I'll post results after testing things out... (probably won't be til tomorrow)

It's being forced into archetypes that would never play blue. It's so OP it's not even an argument. Every pro player will tell you that. The power level between Goyf and Cruise isn't even the same.

On a somewhat separate note, Thought Scour has been played in modern for a while in Mill Decks! (Just looking at the title of the thread lol). And I've seen it also in some Storm lists.
As far as delver goes, Scour does function well as a 'budget cantrip', considering the high-end (Serum Visions) costs over $7ea nowadays. Even G.Probe is going for $2.50 ea, which is kind of crazy considering they're (at least in my mind) more recently-printed commons. If you're going to make a competitive deck then the Scours can be a place holder until you get the serums, but I don't feel that they're worth a 4-of if money's no object.

They're definitely not played as a replacement for serum visions. That's not even close to being an option.
They're played along side each other.

Read the thread. I'll say this:
Thought Scour was played in Delver when it was still in Standard because the deck lacked cantrips. You had Gitaxian Probe, Thought Scour, and Think Twice. It was then backed up with Snapcaster Mage.
It's now finding it's way into the Modern Delver lists. It's there to set up Snapcaster Mage (since you're artificially drawing 3 cards), makes Tarmogoyf bigger, and allows for cheaper Treasure Cruises.
It's not just for cheaper Treasure Cruises. It's because it has a lot of synergy with the rest of the deck.
Storm has already been playing Thought Scour for a while now.

Nobody is playing it over gitaxian probe or serum visions. Peek much worse in the deck and so is sleight of hand.
