Simply is Izzet Charm good enough to main board for budget U/R delver decks? I like it because it counters stuff burns things and draws and discards. Discard feeds Treasure Cruise. let me know what you think guys.

uhm idk really lol I plan to get Mana Leak I guess i just need a good utility spell and I feel like itll do the job. I just was not sure if it sees play at all.

Well I definitely wouldn't play it over mana leak. There's no card in the deck that costs a significant amount of money that Izzet Charm could replace.
Maybe as a 1-of in a flex slot but the decklists going around are pretty solid so I wouldn't bother with that .

yea it is good enough. all modes are extremely relevant. draw modes fuels cruise. counter non crwatures, hell yes, and 2 dmg to a creature kills a lot in modern

It's a very strong card, as the modes are all strong utility. I wouldn't run more than 1 or 2 copies, however.

If you're running more than 2, you're missing out on other powerful cards.

thanks guys, now how strong is Dimir Charm in modern? I ask because the deck I am working on is U/R shell with black removal and Thoughtseize

Dimir Charm is a lot worse. Insectile Aberration Flip is a relevant threat that it cannot hit, not to mention myriad other 3+ power guys. The counter for sorceries is a little overcosted, and the last ability is nearly useless.

I think Izzet Charm can have a home as a 1-of. It could also see more copies in the SB

What would you even be dropping to play it?
