Kazuul's toll collector + Sunforger deck idea

Hi there everybody.I'm been looking into a idea to use Kazuul's Toll Collector 0 equip ability in combination with Sunforger unequip ability to pull the perfect spell for the scenario at hand in a deck. If you have any suggestions. I love to hear them.

I think that's actually really strong and I could see it working. You could make a WR Equipment deck with Puresteel Paladin, etc. I like it.

I think some people have already been messing around this, however I can't find the article... Anyways post the deck here once you get it built - my friend wants to try out something like that.

That's a clever value mechanism. I think protecting the Collector will be a bit of a challenge, but if you can manage that, you'll value-play people into the dirt. Worth a shot.

Thinking of playing around with this kind of build. RW Burn with Kazuul and Sunforger for added value.

There are so many possibilities, I can't consider which is best...

Manamorphose came to mind instantly. It essentially says "Thin this card from your library, and draw a card. Then repeat this process 3 more times."

This, of course, led me to think of all the possible cards that can net you additional mana or cards.

Desperate Ritual and Pyretic Ritual can each turn a into .

There are a number of 'surprise' cards that would be unexpected... Reroute as a 1-of in you deck would certainly make their Liliana of the Veil's -2 quite awkward for them.

@Rayenous - Manamorphose would increase your chances of drawing lands. Desperate Ritual and Pyretic Ritual do nothing for you other than accelerate. Imagine sitting with an opener with some rituals and a this ogre. Sure, you get him out fast, but then he's just going to die. Now you're left with nothing to accelerate into.

A RW burn strat would work better because your cards have more value outside of having your engines online.

Something to consider; going Jeskai allows you to run Counterflux and/or Double Negative.

Paying / for a counterspell at instant speed seems super powerful as well.

A combination of Naya Charm, Grapeshot, Pyretic Ritual, and Manamorphose can kill someone, not sure the exact order, but people have solved it.
