Let's Take Down Jund

So, I play MTGO, but that's relatively unimportant here. The important thing is that Jund is crazy good and I find that bothersome. So, let's start a Modern think take on some of the best ways we can take Jund down. Aside from hoping there's no turn 2 Liliana of the Veil
Well, you could always play Burn. I have rarely ever lost a 2/3 match against Jund when I am playing Burn, they just deal so much damage to themselves and usually cannot win until at least a full turn later than Burns fundamental turn.
I also hear from some players that Living End (playing around DRS properly) is pretty good at beating Jund. Jund is like any deck in Modern, it definitely does have bad matchups. It just so happens that Jund is extremely popular, but its predators are not very popular for some reason, which is probably what contributes to its aura of invincibility.

@CanadianSamurai, do you mean it's bizarre that Burn has a good Jund matchup? If so, it is not just me that thinks that, you can read articles on Channelfireball.com or Starcitygames.com too, it is a known fact that Burn is one of Jund's worst matchups (both in Legacy and in Modern). Living End is something I am less sure of though, as I never played the deck.
I know it is kind of ironic since Burn is one of the cheapest decks in Modern, and Jund is one of the most expensive, but it makes sense in theory, and the games play out pretty much exactly like you would expect under that theory. For the record, I do of course lose to Jund sometimes, but when I do it is usually very close and it is to those Jund decks that are splashing white for Ajani Vengeant .

@ thEnd3000 no, I just figured it was a little odd that I don't see more decks that are capable of taking on Jund considering its popularity. As a UWR Control player, Jund is my worst nightmare because its disruption can be established really quickly and effectively (though I may be doing something wrong).
I'm currently working on an Esper Control build to maybe possibly make competitve though so far its proving to be more of a hassel than anything else. Slowly drifting back to the safety of my UWR :p

Well, coming from the aggro side of things, UWR control seems basically unstoppable whenever I play against it. But hey, that's the ecosystem of Modern. Jund preys on your deck, your deck preys on mine, and my deck preys on Jund.
Although to be fair, MTG is more than just hitting your good matchups, I have been able to beat UWR control in the past, usually due to them missing land drops, but hey, luck is a part of MTG, exploit it when you can.

Scapeshift
decks apparently have a good Jund matchup.

Path to Exile , any direct damage spell (Lightning Bolt ), Oblivion Stone and Karn Liberated do the job pretty well.
Usually not all in the same deck.
