Looking to Build a New Modern Deck

I've been playing my four color Cruel Control deck for a while now, but since control is practically dead, I'm wanting to build something new. Or at least I think it's dead. I took a break from Magic for a couple months, and after playing with it at FNM and online a couple times, I've decided to move onto something more competitive. As the title says, what deck do you people think I should play? I'm thinking about building burn since it'd be the easiest to trade into since all I need are 4x Goblin Guides. If so, which burn would be best? Gruul, Boros, etc.? I'm planning on going to GP Charlotte in June, so I want to bring a competitively viable deck with me that's better suited right now. Or should I hold onto my Cruel Control deck at the moment and keep messing around with it?

I'd hold onto the control deck, its only a matter of time before someone discovers the winning tech to building a control deck in this meta, and then it'll be somewhat prevalent again

Cruel Control is not viable, but control as an archetype is still great. People are just playing lots of crap.
As for burn, play Naya burn with 4 Atarka's Command mainboard. It's insane with Monastery Swiftspear, and the mere choice of doing other things make it awesome. As all white sideboards are, you have an amazing selection of hate.

I personally like Naya Burn splashing green just for Destructive Revelry and Atarka's Command out of all the burn variants.

Awesome. Sounds like I'm building Naya burn. How do you guys think it would do in the current meta, though?

I like Naya Burn as well. for Lightning Helix and Boros Charm and
for Atarka's Command and Destructive Revelry in the SB.
I don't believe Control is dead but Cruel Control was never super viable...

Yeah, I know about Cruel Control not being viable. I decided to come up with something myself for modern. Fortunately, the cards will be easy to move around to build something more competitive. At first it played well, but now it's just not as good, or it's just more bad.

Okay, cool. I'll get a decklist posted later and update my trade binder, if anyone wants to take a look.

Burn is most certainly Tier 1. And if you post your decklist, I'm sure we can give some critiques. Really the hard part is your sideboard, since the mainboard is pretty locked up.

All right, so I threw together a quick decklist here:
"Hah! You better have a BURN HEAL!" Playtest

Naya, Rw in the main with the green in the SB is the best way to build burn.
