Ok I don't know much about any decks that use manifest or morph cards but Deathmist Raptor and Whisperwood Elemental have me wanting to make a deck based on those abilities,my question is with all the new morph, megamorph and manifest cards could it possibly be viable in modern?

Competitively, no. The only thing that I've ever seen morphed is Akroma, Angel of Fury.

morph really isn't viable in modern, modern is a format where every mana spent needs to be in a efficient manner. Paying 3 for a 2/2 and then a more expensive cost, usually, to flip it over really just isn't good in a format where all the removal costs 3 mana.

Deathmist Raptor isn't a terrible creature ignoring the morph ability and the return from graveyard ability.

Whisperwood Elemental may be okay if you plan for your deck to not be very competitive. You expect your 5 drops in modern to make an instant impact, and whisperwood doesn't do that. Plus turning over anything he manifests into play really isn't a good way to spend mana in modern, like I said before. But at least it does give you card advantage if it stays alive.

Manifest could be interesting to see in modern maybe as a means to cheat in powerful late game cards such as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Primeval Titan, Griselbrand, etc with blink cards such as Cloudshift although it probably would be challenging due to how high the cmc is of some of the manifest cards and how you are taking a chance that hopefully you will manifest a strong card that you want and be able to blink it back in face up.

The only manifest cards that I could see being viable in modern though are the following Write into Being, Soul Summons, and maybe Mastery of the Unseen, Whisperwood Elemental that's about it. So if you did try to use it as a way to cheat in a strong cards it would be for the most part a game of chance sort of like bloom titan/ bloom amulet either you go off big or you stand a strong chance of doing poorly, however the manifest strategy wouldn't be as quick as bloom titan and wouldn't probably have as strong of a back up or a second possible combo.

I personally love the build that runs Soul Summons and Lightform then Cloudshifts their Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, or Iona, Shield of Emeria. It's never going to be consistent enough to hit tier 2, but it's still very fun and viable.

I completely forgot about Lightform thanks for reminding me of that lemmingllama.

it loses the enchantment when it flickers so Cloudform is better so that it is harder to kill before its cloudshifted.

also sorry for the double post but i have seen a polymorph list that plays cloudform cuz its super hard to kill as ur trying to polymorph it. U can also play 4 but never hit 1 when ur trying to combo off.
