Midnight Guard in Twin?

This is probably the stupedest thread you have ever seen, but I was wondering: Why aren't there Splinter Twin
decks utilizing Midnight Guard
.
I know that nowadays Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker
is used more often than the actual twin, but before that.
They could've supported the third colour easily through fetches and add a third creature for an infinite army. And they could have played Boros Charm
, Path to Exile
, or Lightning Helix
(maybe even Wall of Omens
?).
If this question is really stupid, please don't just state that, but enlighten me to why.

Thank you. Yeah I didn't think that flash thing through.

But damn, yeah Village Bell-Ringer seems awesome. Out of bolt range and untapping Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker seems awesome even in the more recent decks.

My Naya Birthing Pod list (no blue like most Kiki Pod decks have) runs a Village Bell-Ringer combo. Like mentioned above, the abilities of the blue creatures are somewhat more useful.
It should be noted that very few people play RW Twin, and UWR Twin is more common. UWR Twin tends to combo with Kiki-Jiki + Restoration Angel , and plays a more controlling style. They do play Wall of Omens , Restoration Angel , Lightning Helix , Path to Exile and Snapcaster Mage to facilitate a Restoration Angel gameplan.
It should be noted that Splinter Twin is still the main way these decks combo, and Kiki-Jiki isn't more commonly used as the OP mentioned. Kiki-Jiki is only preferred in the Birthing Pod combos.

The only time I've seen Midnight Guard used was once when a guy was running what he called RW All-in Combo. 4 Kiki, 4 Twin, 4 Resto Angel, 4 Zealous Conscripts , 4 Bell ringer, 4 Midnight Guard , and a bunch of bolt effects.
It was actually pretty good, because he got the combo off turn 4 pretty much every game.

Because it doesn't have flash, so you cannot cast it EOT. It has to live through one whole turn because you cannot use Splinter Twin the turn you cast Midnight Guard because of summoning sickness. A card that might work in the place of Pestermite and Deceiver Exarch is Village Bell-Ringer . However the tap-interaction with opposing permanents that Mite and Exarch offer are quite useful so they are usually better than Bell-Ringer. But, I've already seen and played against W/R Twin decks that win with Bell-Ringer so maybe we will see them more frequently from now on.
