do you prefer shock lands or the innastrad duals? why?

Ideally you play both, since the shocks count towards bringing the buddy lands in untapped.

Moved to Modern.

If budget isn't an issue, then the shocks are typically better. The fact that you can fetch them makes them much more viable in multicolored decks.

shocks, they have the ability to come into play untapped turn 1 and are fetchable. Innistrad duals are actually 3rd on the list, the fast lands or tap lands from scars are next since they can come in untapped turn 1-3 (or later if you're mana hosed or need less). Man lands (depending on the deck) are next tied with the innastrad duals in terms of playability in modern. Filter lands also have seen a bit of play.
