For those that didn't know, the next update for the Modern B&R List will be released on January 19th, What's everyone's predictions on what will be banned if anything, and if anything will be unbanned.
Dig through time is kind of a replacement for TC. That one extra mana is a big deal but the ability to choose the cards it draws is good enough for it to become a snap pick.

Well, now it'll be interesting to see how things look at GP Vancouver next month.

As much as it hurts to say it, their reasoning on banning DTT and TC is correct. With only one gone, Delver would still be a commanding deck. Pod, however, is a different story. Not sure how I feel about it, but definitely leaning towards the, "It was a really bad idea." side.

Well, I am playing in the modo ptq finals right now, after not playing modern for close to a year, because of the way they handle the ban list.. and I can definitively say that something needs to be done or undone. Preferably undone. Wizards has this ideal that Modern needs to be a turn 4 format, and because of this they have nerfed anything that threatened that. Problem is, people like playing with powerful decks, and they do exist in modern. On my way to this tournament, and during this tournament, I have been dead on turn three legitimately, or functionally, a handful of times. Affinity, t3 kill. Twin, t3 tap down my land on the play so I can't do anything, and t4 kill. Dredge vine, on my turn 3 I am dead on the swing back no matter what I do. RG Tron, t3 tron into Karn, on the play, which is game for a lot of decks. THIS is the reason I stopped playing modern and will probably stop after this tournament. They are so worried about storm and combo, with the banning of seething song, second sunrise, and top, and they have no loyalty to the players that would rather play skill intensive decks, that they completely ignore their own modern creed of not being functionally dead on t3. They should just go ahead and ban everything fun in the format. The top 8 of the qualifier that I played was 2 twin, 3 affinity, 2 junk decks, and my storm deck. And I will admit I had to get extremely lucky to top 8. This is the reason that storm should have access to its powerful plays, because everything else does. There is no integrity in this format. I'm going back to playing vintage, where everything is broken. It's more fun.

To be totally fair, Modern Storm sucks. You don't really have a right to say the format is bad when you play a bad deck.
If your argument is that Storm needs more cards because you want to play it and win games, that sounds more like whining than anything to me.

You're playing twin. There's the problem. Seriously - it's really poorly placed in the meta. Lack of interactivity.

Spoiler alert: Storm does have access to powerful plays. The whole killing from turn 3 with nothing but lands and a 2/2 should have clued you into that.
And just for the record, modern Storm isn't as much skill intensive as it is luck intensive. It's not a difficult deck to play, since the matches are usually incredibly one sided one way or another. It's high risk high reward.

@awphutt, that's actually not correct. Storm is a very skill-intensive deck. You make a high density of decisions, even if the deck wins very quickly in terms of turns. You need to know what cards you're looking for with scrys, when you are safe to go for it, what disruption the opponent might have, etc. Give it the credit it deserves.
That said, you are right that he's being a bit hypocritical.

Yeah, I phrased it wrong. I moreso meant that once you're going off, you barely need any knowledge or skill to keep going off, it's either going to happen or not and you'd need to screw up very badly to not go off when you could in the majority of cases. But yeah, it does require thought to get to that stage, so that's my bad.

while a Delver deck might use Treasure Cruise over Dig Through Time, banning one but not the other would do little to change the deck. Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise are banned.
