Modern Elves: Mono Green vs B/G Elves

What's the best build? Mono Green Elves or Black and Green Elves? I currently run a Black and Green Elf deck. It's fun but there's so many more elf cards I'd like to use that are green. Is it worth it to build a black and green elf deck just for Shaman of the Pack or go mono Green to make it more consistent? What's best way to run elves in your experience?

Personally I prefer B/G elves. The reach Shaman of the Pack gives you is worth the splash. You have the same consistency with fetch lands and you only really play black for Shaman of the Pack along with some sideboard cards.

I've seen G/B that ran a painland manabase so that it didn't take as much damage from fetches. it used like 4 Llanowar Wastes, 4 Cavern of Souls, 4 Gilt-Leaf Palace, and like 6 Forest. 12 lands is plenty to get to shaman, they all come in untapped turn one, and can all cast Llanowar Elves on your first turn at a max of one damage. it's plenty consistent with 4 Collected Company and 4 Chord of Calling. I like the black/green build for its reach through stalled boards, also gets through Ghostly Prison and Ensnaring Bridge successfully which probably means something in this meta.

B/G is much more potent if you want to play an aggressive build, and it is also the most consistent build.

Mono-Green and U/G are better if you want to try and combo as fast as possible. Cloudstone Curio builds or Evolutionary Leap builds can kill as soon as turn 3 if they get both a Nettle Sentinel and a Heritage Druid. They are more glass cannon, but are faster to compensate.

Overall, it's really up to your playstyle. Both decks are good.

I play elves and I prefer the G/B version, simply because there are more win conditions and my manabase works just fine with 4x Cavern of Souls, 4x Gilt-Leaf Palace and 4x Llanowar Wastes.
