Modern Pyromancy

Some of us are familiar with RDW: Burn Edition in modern. I've seen some of the Travis Woo Brews and I was wondering if anyone had any designs in motion towards a Young Pyromancer version of that RDW.

What are some thoughts? Move towards tokens? Creature based Storm? Burn?

Most people have been playing Young Pyromancer next to Delver of Secrets  Flip use this list as an example.

I saw, U/R delver seems common with snapcaster being really the only big money card. It sees play in legacy too.

I already have a storm deck so I'm converting that into the pyromancer storm deck. feel like it's a little more stable than the Pyromancer Ascension version.

I wouldn't go that far. They both have some pretty bad matchups but on different levels.

I feel that Battle Hymn takes Seething Song 's place fairly well and the tokens give me a stall tactic that I was lacking in the Ascension version. The deck works almost the same but I always feel like I'm DOING something where I found myself playing land go magic sometimes.

I'm getting the parts for U/R delver as well because a lot of the deck is hot swappable. Essentially 2 decks for the price of 1.

The nice thing about Battle Hymn and Young Pyromancer is that Pyromancer triggers when the spell is cast so you get the token before Battle Hymn goes off. I've had it trigger for 30+ mana before in testing. Pretty neat.

Turn 4-5 is average (which is about the turn where Ascension storm goes off) but the difference is I usually have 2-4 chump blocking tokens from Young Pyromancer at that point.

However I frequently Empty the Warrens for 6-8 goblin tokens minimum and that alone can be enough to end a game.

For now I'm just familiarizing myself with playing the deck so it's just solitare assuming no disruption. When I get more comfortable with the combo I'll start testing with other things. (It plays a bit out of my comfort zone.)

I hear u. I know that it shows up all the time online in dailys. Unfortuently for them I have been running Splinter Twin of late and I disrupt them turn 2 and 3 and combo by turn 4 maybe 5.
