Which Sorin is best for a modern b/w tokens list?
Clearly Sorin Markov is out. Unplayable in the deck. We are just using the basic primer here, not a very specific deck list.
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad: makes the token for his +1, so that's nice. You don't have to kill you PW investment to make Vamps. His emblem is nice as well. The fact that the +1/+0 sticks and stacks is sweet, too. His ult is just meh to me in this build.Sorin, Solemn Visitor: the +1 is nice. Life gain and some bonus points. It's cool as a defensive maneuver, also. I'm not a huge fan that it's the -2 that makes the vamp. You won't get many tokens out of him, but they fly and are 2/2. His ultimate seems better against the modern meta than LOI.
Which one do you prefer in the build along side Elspeth, Knight-Errant?

Sorin, Solemn Visitor. He makes any tokens you have into actual cards, and put you into a position that is extremely ahead.

I use solemn visitor in my deck because of the life gain I need from facing burn. The life link and buff lasts until your next turn which is an important point to note as with Intangible Virtue you can swing and block for massive gain. Also, I've never actually used his ultimate. So that should be a deciding factor.

I use Solemn Visitor. Losing eight life to Thoughtsieze, and twelve to Dismembers along the way generally loses me the game without him.

All good points. Make a lot sense. I think I'll use SV as well then. Wasn't convinced the lifelink was that effective. I suppose it is. Thanks T/O

I have been summoned! As said before, Sorin, Solemn Visitor is the vest sorin. The lifelink ability is very relevant against many midrange decks, and can even turn the tide with worse matchups like merfolk.

As for the Elspeth, Knight-Errant vs. Sorin, Solemn Visitor question. It depends on the build. A build with Bitterblossom You want Sorin and a build with Raise the Alarm you want Elspeth and Sorin as a mixture.

I'm dead set on Elspeth. She was always fantastic in the deck when I played it. I don't run Bitterblossom for 2 reasons: it's mucho bucks, and I'd rather the mostly white build. I run Honor of the Pure in my build and those fairies don't get the buff.

As Lifa said, a blossom build is best with Sorin, Solemn Visitor by far. I have found that for a Raise the Alarm shell though, that a mix works best, as Elspeth complements Sorin's flaws.

Makes a lot of sense. Having the +1 make a guy is really helpful.

Yeah, Sorin, Solemn Visitor can lead to enormous reversals when you've got a good army of tokens. I too believe him to be the better card here.
Without Bitterblossom, though, I think a strong argument can be made for Sorin, Lord of Innistrad.

In a non blossom list, Elspeth, Knight-Errant is better than Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. Elspeth is extremely hard to kill, and can push out damage output without putting her into lethal range. A lot of the time Lord of Innistrad can potentially turn into a 4 mana +1/0 anthem.
