Has anyone played with the card Mutiny? How useful is it? Is it a overall good card? I haven't seen it in any decks, but I'm fairly new to MTG.

Not good enough when things like Bolt, unholy heat, pyroblast, red elemental blast, magmatic sinkhole, and even skred exist, imo.

Best case scenario is that it could be a sideboard card against creature-heavy aggro decks. Generally speaking, I prefer my removal spells to not ask me to jump through hoops in order for them to be effective. Lightning Bolt is a much better option for a one mana red spell.

Its glaring issues are:
-
sorcery speed.
-
ridiculously situational. Very narrow application.
-
unreliable - oftentimes it won’t be able to remove the creature you want dead.
-
there are much easier ways to achieve the same (or better) outcome.

I would say it is pretty bad. It is a one-mana removal spell, but heavily conditional - they need to have at least two creatures, and the one you want to remove needs to have a lower toughness than the other creature’s power. That is a lot of hoops to jump through, and you might not be able to even kill the creature you want killed.
Combined with other hyper-efficient removal in the format like Path and Trophy that would work better as your removal, and you’re taking too big of a gamble on too little of a payoff.
