on my list of cards i hate i bring you my top 3
Ensnaring Bridge - "bro i have a deck full of creatures"
Blood Moon "yeah i love not having mana"
Chalice of the Void "so no more 1 drops oh wait u just put in the second one no more 2 drops"
which cards do you guys hate the most and why

I find your list very interesting, as 2 of the cards you mentioned (Blood Moon and Chalice of the Void) contribute towards keeping the modern-meta healthy, in that they’re only real purpose is to punish greedy and unfair decks.
My top 3 “hate” cards at the moment would be:
-
Omnath, Locus of Creation. It makes it very hard justify playing any other form of midrange, and just creates too huge an immediate value.
-
Shadowspear. Decks that are about to lose (or, have no clear way to win) can all-too-easily nab this from Urza's Saga and suddenly get themselves a free win.
-
Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. Losing to a land feels lame AF.

Holy shit I hate that monkey so much
Haha I love making decks around abusing bridge and blood moon,
Thanks for reminding me I'm a bad person.
I hate how much removal is in the format now, so I guess I'd have to pick that I hate Prismatic Ending?
I don't know, choosing just one feels silly but then when you look at all of them together it gets more real.
Also why I chose ending is so I can go on about this next:
WHY is there now multiple cycles of free spells?! Free spells are the worst part about magic,
And now we have the stupid pitch elementals which are great effects you almost always want.
It's completely absurd, the stupidest most obvious cash grab. "Do you play colors in your deck? Well then you're gonna need these. Hopefully enough packs are being opened cause literally every person might as well pick up playsets"
I hated Uro, but I loved astrolabe.
Because I was playing it in the stupidest most fair decks ever, but i knew it was unhealthy.
I hate Murktide Regent so much in legacy I always prepare myself to be horrified when I see it come down in modern games,
But it's really not that bad, in my opinion.
I guess I also dislike omnath, I hate all their super-pushed value FIRE cards. But at least omnath generally feels beatable, though ask me again after I lose a couple snowball-ey games. Maybe I still just remember it with uro and field and the pain feels so much more manageable now?
I don't know why my experiences with Shadowspear have been okay. Maybe I haven't been playing enough MTGO?
Whenever someone complains about it I agree with them because the problems look so obvious, but deep down I don't know

Also I am completely aware I only named more recent cards and accept the fact I am a boomer

There's not really any cards I'd like to see banned. There are certain decks that I find incredibly boring and unfun, but they're not really overpowered (like Belcher). The meta is super healthy atm, and has been for longer than usual.
In EDH, I abhor stax - but again, not because it's overpowered. It just turns what should be a 30-60 minute game into a 2+ hour one where the stax player usually still loses. I'm old and busy, let's get this show on the road!

Grubbernaut yeah ive been checking mtg top 8 and the decks that win are so diverse. only thing that really sticks out is grixis deaths shadow. but personally i dont think its that bad at all id rather play grixis than amulet titan

Getting hit with Thoughtseize/Inquisition of Kozilek on turn one almost always makes me wanna resort to physical violence.
Yes they are fair cards and I'm kidding/exaggerating lol

I might be the only person who doesn't like this card, but #2 on my hate list is Death Baron. Why is the most perfect Skeleton lord a Zombie? Zombie tribal already had enough support, and it keeps getting more. Skeletons had basically nothing until AFR, when they got like two cards, one of which was also Zombie support. Let me have a Skeleton lord that's actually a Skeleton!

I dislike single cards that end entire games. There's no skill involved with casting one spell. For example, when you are playing a 4c deck and your opponent lands a Blood Moon, just scoop. You lost because someone paid .
And yes I know that pretty much every game boils down to a point where that one final card is what secured the win, but if you cast a Winter Orb on T1 with a Mana Crypt, again you might as well just shuffle back up.

I'll take the opposing stance on Moon; it encourages nonland mana sources. As a typical 3+ color player in competitive, I almost never care about a Moon resolving. If I have a couple of rocks, I can usually cast whatever I want - and can definitely still Dockside through a moon.

I have a grudge against that stupid monkey for a couple of reasons. First, my win record against a turn 1/2 monkey is approximately 0%. I know I just need to adapt, but I still have a visceral reaction to that stupid grinning face and its stupid sunglasses. Second, I believe it's on a very similar power level to Deathrite Shaman, my favorite card that I can't use in Modern. Between my failure to beat it, the art (nothing against Simon Dominic, it's very well executed), and its ubiquity, it currently holds my #1 hate spot by a wide margin.
