Dies to bolt. Dies to path. Dies to relic of progenitus. No deck that can currently support it or wants it compared to an instant speed dude or value dude.
Might see some minor play but I ain't hopeful.

What do you mean it will fit modern like Dread Return

Since modern does have all that removal it probably wont be played much. I could see it being played a bit in standard.

I think the biggest strike against it is it's just a beater. In an Izzet (or Grixis) deck odds are it's power will be high, but it doesn't have haste.
So it sits there for a turn waiting to "die to removal." Like any other creature that is a threat.
That being said, I'm sure you could strap a Lightning Greaves to it if you wanted to.

I'd say...iffy at best. When I first saw it I thought it looked awesome, and then I looked at the toughness. And the casting cost.
The list of commonly-played cards that can kill this is mind-boggling. Even in a control deck it can't be protected from Abrupt Decay , and the number of Dismember , Lightning Bolt , and Path to Exile copies that see play mean that the same deck is not likely to be able to guard against them all and still function. I'm not a fan of "dies to removal" arguments for a creature not being good, but "dies to every removal" as a finisher is probably a deal-breaker.
