is there any way to competitively play these cards in modern. as an example let's say it's vs a storm deck that got the perfect hand and top deck.

unless you're playing reanimator, i dont see many ways which you can get them out fast enough to use against that

there should be some way to get them out other than reanimator

to be quite honest the Praetor i want to run is Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and maybe the white one for pretty much a board wipe

Off topic:

My roommate once ran a Child of Alara reanimator EDH with all 5 of them . . . it wasn't really the best but it was scary if they all hit the field together (that haste bro). I think he was just more excited about running a whole mythic cycle in his deck.

InconspicuousPotato you kinda don't get the point, i want them out permanently before end of my turn 4

My ramp deck can power out Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite (or any Praetor with the right hand) on turn 3, if that's the kind of thing you're looking for.

i have a ramp combo from standard that could get any card out, infact let me correct myself, it can get every card out by turn 4 i could cast every single eldrazi playset on turn 4 after casting enter the infinite

I guess the point is you can build many glass cannon combos for modern. If you want a lot of mana to drop Jin-Gitaxias or Norn early you can do it. It all depends at what level you're hoping to be competitive.

Yeah, ramp or reanimator are your two best options. I'm working on a reanimator brew that can get out anything consistently on turn four. And let me tell you, a turn four praetor or Griselbrand is sick.

Tron can pump them out T4 consistently with Quicksilver Amulet and Elvish Piper

U can use this as an example. Mono-G TRON

My first modern deck was built around Sheoldred, Whispering One . It can get her on the board T5. Pretty fun, almost always wins kitchen table battles but not competitive.

Would my playset of vesuva and watery grave fit in alongside a set of tron lands

in the case of tron what would be the best golems? coz i was thinking Blightsteel Colossus turn 4 would be rather devastating

Gifts Ungiven + Unburial Rites allows for so many options and can be turn 3 into turn 4 reanimate or faster depending on deck
Iona, Shield of Emeria Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite etc etc

I'd run Emrakul over blightsteel... anyway, you can cast Gifts Ungiven (on their end step) grab rights + fatty of choice then on your turn have a turn 4.. whatever suits the situation.

@Zuckfat i would run emrakul if not for 1 thing, he requires the perfect hand and top deck to get him on turn 4
