Placeholder for Geist of Saint Traft

So right now I am trying to assemble a playset of Geist of Saint Traft for a modern America deck.

In the meantime, I need a suitable placeholder to bring to FNM caliber tournaments. What are some good options?

Right now I am using Delver of Secrets  ^Flip , but I'm worried that he is too fragile.

I just need something that will provide some early pressure and damage.

Just based on the "Flash" theme.... any of the following might be worthy of consideration:

Venser, Shaper Savant ... effectively counters/delays a spell, or bounces a permanent.

Voidmage Husher ... counters activated abilities, and has a self ability to be reused.

Deputy of Acquittals ...inexpensive, and let's you reuse another Flashers ability

Izzet Staticaster .... maybe more of a sideboard thing, but has haste for removing low toughness creatures.

Restoration Angel ... like Deputy of Acquittals 's reasoning, but on a bigger, thus more expensive body, and you have to reuse that other Flashers ability right away.
