Shadow of doubt in modern

So my LGS had a Monday Modern event today, which I narrowly went 4-0 in.
The last game was U/R gifts/storm, which I won game three by Shadow of Doubting a Gifts Ungiven (they had no cards left in hand so I just ended their turn) which brings me to my point:
Why doesn't Shadow of Doubt see play in modern as a sideboard card? Shuts down tutor effects such as gifts, Expedition Map and titanshift, not to mention fetch lands. Additionally, if you may win next turn, it can be cast as a cantrip to net you a card.
Is there a reason this isn't played in modern?

It has been run in Modern for a long time. Like said above its not a reliable answer though. Could be good against the current G/W combo deck. Thankfully it's not in Ponza colors.
