Questions like this probably belong in the Q&A rather than in the forums.

But to answer it, yes. This is the case with any Hideaway land. If you hide a land, then you can play it when the hideaway land's conditions are met, but you can only play it when you could otherwise play a land card. It does not grant you the ability to play an extra land and does not grant you the ability to play that land at some other time when you normally couldn't play it.

Note that the timing restrictions only apply to lands. You could, for instance, play an enchantment off a hideaway land even in the middle of combat (BW Tokens decks often do this with Honor of the Pure , for instance).

Suffice it to say, hiding lands with hideaway lands is underwhelming.

I should clarify about the timing restrictions because I didn't make it very clear.

Hideaway lands can get around the regular sorcery speed restrictions because it is an activated ability, which is why an enchantment can be played mid-combat. But it cannot get around specific timing rules, such as a card that says "cast this spell only during combat." Any such card can still be cast via a hideaway land, but only at a time when it satisfies its own timing restrictions.

Similarly, you could play a land via a hideaway land, but only at a time when it satisfies the land's timing restrictions. This means only on your turn and only if you have any land drops left.

Incidentally, the reference is Hideaway Lands - MTG Salvation Wiki, which mirrors the rulings on Wizards' site.
