Hi there guys,

I recently created a mono-black Vampire Modern Deck (I'm emophobic,but... whatever.),and now what I need is just the sideboard.

Since I'm pretty a newbie about Modern decks,I ask help to more expert ones xD comments and critics are welcome too :) Just follow the guide-lines like :

  • Which kind of decks play in Modern format and how to fight them (for example,against Reanimators I put 4x Relic of Progenitus into the sideboard);
  • No splashed colors : only black!
Thanks in advance!

well it depends are willing to spend on this sideboard or just looking for simple cards??

other wise kill spells or board whipe,

doomblade, go for the throat, damnation, fulminator for raging ravine or other manlands, cards like batterskull or the the lash thingy phrexian 2 add x/x equal to number of swamps cost 4 artifact.

(I tag cards you said : Doom Blade ,Go for the Throat ,Damnation ,Fulminator Mage ,Raging Ravine ,Batterskull ,Lashwrithe )

Yeah,I recently thought about adding aimed removal spells like Doom Blade and Go for the Throat ,just as you said (still,I'll never put mass removals like Damnation or card:Black Sun's Zenith : I win by aggro,so killing my own creatures would be a fail).

Indeed,I never thought about manlands like Raging Ravine or Mutavault and so on,but I guess they wouldn't be that effective,unless I play spells like Damnation ,just as I said before,so it shouldn't be a big problem for me.

I found out that this deck's worst problem are aimed removals (Path to Exile ,Lightning Bolt ,Beast Within etc.),that's why I thought on adding some protection cards like Lightning Greaves ,Swiftfoot Boots and so on (but I don't know which ones remove to add them).

If you know which kind of decks play in Modern format,would you please tell me? For example,let's say Jund is highly played : what's its strategy? How to side against them? Etc.

How competitive of an environment is the deck going to be in?

Hmm I never thought about it,but I guess the most,the better. I'd like it to have nearly everything to side against,so that it could "hide" its weak points.
