Snapcaster with lavamancer?

I know a lot of twin decks have been putting 3 Snapcaster Mages with 2 Grim Lavamncers in a deck lately. My question is how has that been working out? To me, just looking at the cards, it seems like Grim Lavamancer would eat up the fuel for a Snapcaster Mage. With context, I'm decding between a fourth snapcaster and a Spellskite, or 2 lavamancers. Has anyone experienced this problem? For me, I want to be hitting my draw and counter spells with snapcaster; however, lavamancer seems to win an fair game better. The two cards just seems a little counter intuitive to each other.
Delver ran snapcaster mage with Treasure Cruise as a 4 of. So i dont see it being too harmfull

8vomit & bijschjdbcd: Thanks for the help, guys. Feeling better about it now.
8vomit: lol, there has never been a better example than that.

Shit, I am running Snapcaster with Tasigur. Never had an issue personally.

gnarlicide - I think the main difference between Grim Lavamancer and Tasigur, the Golden Fang in this situation is that Tasigur requires you to exile some things, but then feeds your GY. Whereas Grim Lavamancer puts continuous strain on your GY as the game goes on.
That said, yeah I can see scenarios where they do not overlap that often.

Grim Lavamancer eats lands and creatures and Planeswalkers, too, y'know.

You are right, but I shared the same initial concern.

running tasigur with 3 snap and 2 lavamancers. works great. leave all the good spells for snap or a possible rebuy from tasigur. exile lands, fodder for lavamancer and tasigur

InnerFlame I have found a better example.
Snapcaster Mage, Treasure Cruise and Tarmogoyf all in the same deck. It won a GP.
