Snappy in u tron?

Howdy all- anyone have any experience with the different types of utron? I'm considering a couple snaps in my build but not sure. How is the fabricate/snapcaster build?

I've been playing U Tron since I started playing modern, about 4 months ago. I've seen some builds run one or two Snapcasters but most don't. I have made room for a Fabricate by cutting the Treasure Mages down to two.

As for snapcaster, I'm not sure what could possibly be cut from a normal U Tron deck to add him, without decreasing consistency. I suppose you could cut all the Treasure Mages for Fabricates and Snappy could replace something else, but then you lack some of the earlier creatures which are helpful as chumpblockers against decks like zoo to preserve your life total until you have control of the board. Give it a go to test, definitely, but I personally don't think it's really worth it unless your local meta supports it.

From someone who doesn't play the deck, I'd say it's a bit too clunky. Scapeshift only plays 2-3 Snaps because it has some very clunky spells, and U Tron is even more so. I think I'd rather just have another counterspell in the slot(s).

I run 2 snapcaster in my version. Sometimes it sits in hand a little bit before he can be used but when you need, absolutely MUST, to counter something he's there to save your ass. Worst case scenario he's a flash blocker.

Anybody just splitting 2 treasure Mage 2 fabricate and not running snapcaster?

I prefer fabricate only if I'm running snappy too. That's because I can use Fabricate to get Oblivion Stone, then snapcaster in to block aggro on my turn and cast another Fabricate to get a big threat.

Without snapcaster treasure mage is better

If you do a quick googlie you'll see just as many utron lists as Rg- it's a more rounded deck. Less all in more interactive and flat out better against combo

Lol@Ohthenoises I do happen to be very spectrum- you must be too to be aware of the vaccines b.s.

99 scientific journals say there is no correlation between autism and vaccines. "Nah, they are just ignorant!"

1 smut journal says there is. "I TOLD YOU ALL!!!!1111one!"

@Portfolio and vishnarg: some people play what they like, and don't need you to tell them RG tron does better in this meta. Some people (like me) also can only afford U Tron, not RG tron.

Anyway, to answer an earlier question, I run 2 Treasure Mage and 1 Fabricate. The fabricate is there to find the O-stone when I need it. I decided to go for a slightly more controlling build, and don't need my Treasure Mages as fast.

I was only kidding, I know both do well. I'm lucky to have built tron before it became expensive (~3 years ago) but I think it's better to play tron aggressively. Generally RG tron is the more well rounded hard to shut down deck, because where Blue tron reacts to the opponent and then plays it wincon, RG tron typically forces the opponent to slow you down or face Wurmcoil and Karn. It really depends on your meta, but where I'm from there are many more midrange and aggro decks out there which RG tron plays against so much better.
