So... Storm. Pretty sure this card just says win.

Harness the Storm
2R
Enchantment
"Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery card from your hand, you may cast target card with the same name as that spell from your graveyard."

Thoughts?

What would you cut for it? The answer is nothing.

Yeah, Storm just doesnt have room for a clunky enchantment like that. Past in Flames just does everything Harness the Storm wants to do so much better.

Yea, it's just a worse Pyromancer Ascension really.

The only upside to it is that it doesn't exile from your graveyard after you cast a card from the graveyard. Which isn't as good as it sounds. You need to have multiples in hand for it to become effective, and sadly there is no room for another engine in the board. The only kind of card that could be useful to storm at this point is a red draw spell to swap out Desperate Ravings or Faithless Looting, whichever the pilot likes better

I think the only problem with it is that there is nothing that should be taken out for. It's real good, just not good enough. I am likig that WotC is printing Modern Lite cards though.

If anything, this is Storm's new toy. You don't actually have to Storm off and it gives the deck a chance if it fizzles.

Yeah, Storm is mostly a solved deck. Any new card will have to fundamentally change how the deck functions to really break through.

I love how everyone just dismisses this out of hand.

It doesn't need to be on the board. You can run one or two copies in your deck and just draw into it mid combo. It costs one less than Past in Flames, and it lets your spells add double to your storm count.

It will likely find it's way into some lists.

FAMOUSWATERMELON In case you didn't know, the translation on that card is off. Apparently the zombies come into play tapped. Makes it a little bit lackluster, but still good.

Plus if you're exiling cards with PiF, you don't get too much out of it. You'd have to take it out. Either way I like Empty the Warrens better

Shrug It could provide an interesting alternative should you burn out. It's definitely not on the level of Grapeshot, but I think it deserves to be tested.

The main reason Empty the Warrens is better, is because they can't counter every single copy. Sure, you get 2/2s instead of 1/1s, but a single remand or dispel will take out an entire army. Of course, there could be potential with an active ascension that makes them counter both copies, but at that point it's hard to fizzle, so why not go for Grapeshot. It is a nice idea, but I think wizards is trying and wanting to give storm something good, but not so good that it makes it oppressive.

Even though it says Storm in the name, it is not possible for any version of the deck to run this. I refer you to the flavor text of Null Rod to see what its application is.

Thing in the Ice is a new toy for the sideboard, if you're willing to force it. Otherwise, the 60 stays the same. Storm has been solved.

That's the only possible addition. Solves the aggro matchup 10 fold
