How to get more than 1 mana in turn 1 in modern?
Is there anything else?
Springleaf costs a mana so it doesn't really boost.

It sure does boost. No, you won't be casting a two drop, but you will be casting two one drops that turn.

It boosts but doesn't accelerate. Acceleration is when you psuedo-ramp into a card, for instance I would use it as 'I accelerated into a turn 2 Loxodon Smiter off a turn 1 Llanowar Elves'. I wouldn't use it in 'I accelerated into a turn 1 Llanowar Elves' as that is an on pace play, not counting anything else you did that turn. If I cast a turn 1 Abrupt Decay, that would be accelerating as I'm playing a card before it was originally meant to be cast...
Just my understanding of accelerate... :)

Elvish Spirit Guide is a good one. there are plenty of mana dorks that can ramp you up for the next turn, but having access to 2 mana on turn 1 will be difficult

No one said anything about acceleration, brah. Just getting more than one mana on turn one.

How about Inquisition of Kozilek on yourself targetting Loxodon Smiter?
Not necessarily mana acceleration, but board presence is instantly super good.

Loxodon Smiter specifies a spell your opponent controls. You can't Inquisition yourself to get Smiter out.

Exile SSG for 
Cast Amulet of Vigor
Play and bounce Simic Growth Chamber for 
Play Summer Bloom
Play chamber thrice for 6 mana
Cast Primeval Titan
Search for Boros Garrison and Slayers' Stronghold, feeding one into the other for haste
Attack and search for whatever (Kessig Wolf Run, Inkmoth Nexus, etc.)
Lots of possibilities with the amulet deck lol
