Teferi's Moat is a card which recently was brought to my attention. I would like to know what you think about it? Do you think it fits into a control build or as a sideboard card. I really like it but i don't know where it fits in? Why isn't it being used in the meta, is it just not good enough? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

it may be too highly costed to be in meta atm. otherwise i feel like it is a solid card.

What deck is it good against?

Well it could be ok against tokens when if you say white so the pesky spirits can't attack you, but I like Ghostly Prison better anyway.

I feel it's better against mono-coloured decks, is there many mono coloured decks running around? klone13 you mentioned it costing too much, that's fair but i feel that with control decks that's not as much of an issue?

Costs too much, and has a mediocre effect. Just play a wrath.

Set green, and Abzan has a difficult time. With the exception of Tasigur and souls, every creature it has is either green (Goyf) or contains green (wilt leaf liege, Rhino).

it doesnt work against tokens cuz the spirits can fly.

slovakattack True, i think it's a viable sideboard card in situations like that! Stops so many of their creatures from attacking, and people just wont expect it.

So you want to play this 5 mana do nothing against the decks running Thoughtseize and Liliana? But who are we kidding, they know it's not a threat. They'll swing with their creatures that aren't the named color (Tasigurs), their fliers (Spirits) and then burn you out. (Siege Rhino) This is terrible.

@ smackder there are better options for sideboard cards if you're going to face down an Abzan deck.

its just too slow! for three mana then yes, play it for for five? Ghostly Prison is your best bet.
