What is your opinion of Monastery Mentor in main board of amulet bloom? In a perfect world your casting prime time turn 2, but it doesn't always work that way. You have the ability to cast it turn 2 if you have the amulet out.

I have no idea why you'd want to. You dont play a ton of non creature spells in bloom and whatever you'd take out for it would be better so I dont see the reasoning.

I think it can apply some early pressure/chump blockers while you get the pieces you need. The deck runs over 20 non creature spells to trigger the prowess.

You don't want to apply early pressure. You want to win, and you do that by going over the top. Mentor is just wasting mana when you could Transmute.

I only run 2 Tolaria West, 3 Hive Mind, and no Simian Spirit Guides.

So the whole transmute doesn't come up often.

Then you're probably doing it wrong. Mentor isn't great in Bloom because it gives them an easier way to trade with your cards. Try Dragonlord Dromoka on for size.

There is nothing under 6 cmc spot that is really worth running. Monastery Mentor has some sort of benefit if it sticks. Guess I might as well keep my 1 Eternal Witness or Trinket Mage in there instead.
