Let me try to save this thread, because it is actually an interesting topic.
In case anyone was wondering, the top 5 most played creatures are: 1- scavenging ooze 2-snapcaster mage 3- siege rhino 4- Tarmogofy 5- Noble Hierach.
To be honest I think it is too hard to come up with a Top 5 list of creatures. There are too many good creatures in modern that could arguably be top 5. I think there is teir 1 creatures, and teir 2 creatures, ...etc but it is just not possible to get an acceptable top 5 list.
Same with planeswalkers. There are two or three that you could argue for #3 spot.

Goldfish takes more data, not just the 4-0 lists. It's also got an infinitely better layout and aesthetic appeal, which counts for something.

Just today, I topdecked a Tarmogoyf with seven lands in play. As it turned out, it was a 5/6.
I'm going to 3/1 split it with Axebane Stag.

@kintighd Do you have a source for that? I have a very hard time believing that Tarmogoyf is one of the 'top 5 most played' creatures, if only because it's extremely rare. Top decks might use it, but the vast majority of modern players have decks that are under $800 - and they're not throwing in a playset of 'goyf and 56 commons.
