I'm quite familiar with what are the best mana dorks in Modern, but when it comes to noncreature ramp, not so much. Ive been doing some brewing with G/x ramp shells, and was just wondering: What are the top 5 best non-creature ramps spells in Modern?
The only particularly good ones are Search for Tomorrow and Farseek

Those are the ones you should be playing. If you still need more, Harrow and Rampant Growth are probably next.

GlistenerAgent - OP did say non-creature, but I agree with what you said.

While Steve is a creature, he is basically just a Rampant Growth. Does Ranger's Path deserve a spot here? I feel like 4 mana to grab two shock lands is pretty good.

when he said non-creature i think he meant non-Llanowar Elves creature ramp. ie. not a creature with : add
to your mana pool

I was gonna ask the same thing, awesomeguy37. I thought Cultivate and its ilk were pretty good, no? For non-ritual, noncreature ramp spells?

They are great in EDH and I think probably fairly good in 60-card constructed as a two-for-one

what about Awakening Zone? I know it's played in cube but it might be too slow

probably Rampant Growth, Scapeshift (not technically ramp, I know), Farseek, Harrow, and maybe Desperate Ritual/Pyretic Ritual? I don't equate rituals to ramp, but it's close enough you could count it. If you do count rituals then Manamorphose deserves a spot even if it doesn't generate more mana than you put in.
