Say Im playing delver and I have a Monastery Swiftspear and a Delver of Secrets Flip in hand and the mana to cast either. Which is my turn 1 priority?

Yeah delver. It gives it the turn to flip and if it doesn't you can still play the Swiftspear and swing in with it.

just as another way to explain it in case the prior explanations werent that clear.
Option 1: Swift.T1: swift. swing 1. Total 1.T2 play delver. swing with swift for 1. 2 if you have a 1 drop spell. for a total of 2-3.
Option 2: delverT1: delver.possibility A: delver flips.T2: play swifty. swing with delver and swifty for 4. 5 if you have a 1 drop spell. total 4-5.Possibility B: delver doesnt flip.T2: play swifty swing for 2. 3 if you have a 1 drop spell. Total 2-3.
so under similiar circumstances, T1 delver will be equal to or better than T1 swift.

The answer depends. Did you Gitaxian Probe and see Plummet? If yes, cast Delver of Secrets Flip. Your opponent isn't playing modern. If no, cast Delver of Secrets Flip. It's the better T1 play.

Everyone is right. Here's a sidenote for you: in some matchups (especially against a lot of removal), I've actually become a fan of holding a Swiftspear for a couple turns when I have other strong T1 plays, and then almost using it like Grapeshot when the opponent is tapped out or otherwise has their guard down.

Delver. Is that even debatable?
