Purpose of this in the winning deck's sideboard?
For the mirror? Seems incredibly risky and only relevant on the play.

It's for BGx decks, and grindy matchups in general. Landing a Jace and immediately drawing two cards is very good in that matchup, even if he dies. He's also got fringe application against tokens.

Jace, Architect of Thought is ideal for slowing the game down or picking up some extra cards. His digging also helps you close out the game by finding the pieces needed to combo off. I have even considered playing him in my own B/U combo/control list for the same reasons. He beats Lingering Souls and Young Pyromancer as well as being out of Abrupt Decay range against the B/G/x decks. Really solid planeswalker for the current meta

The Abrupt Decay thing is another important factor that I missed. Very strong card in the matchup.

Yeah, I hope he starts to see more play in Modern. He is definately strong enough at least out of the sideboard, and even mainboard depending on the meta.

With the BGx deck is feel like its not going to survive, My experience with Twin is that Rhinos and Tarmogoyfs are hard to deal with if they resolve.
I can see its application but did anyone witness it in play?

If it isn't going to survive two turns, just use its -2 to get value immediately and let it absorb some damage instead of taxing your life total

As I said, Ill try it but I'm sceptical about how it will work, It's not like I'm going to play it for no value.
My phone has been playing up with back spaces and typing long passages, So apparently my section on Abzan in my original start of the thread is missing aswell as asking for someone who had seen it in play.
