Viability of enchantress

Modern forum

Enchantress is a proven deck archetype in Legacy, and i have had a fair amount of success with my enchantress EDH, but what do people think about it in modern.

The issue comes with the fact the legacy staples of the deck are; Argothian Enchantress , Enchantress's Presence , Sterling Grove , Elephant Grass , City of Solitude , Enlightened Tutor , and Luminarch Ascension . Of all these only one is modern legal, which is an issue, a lot of these have slower modern replacements but slower is the key word there.

I love enchantment decks and want to play something more interactive with my opponent than my current Slippery Bogle deck.

Well, enchantress and boggle are aimed at preventing the opponent from interaction with you, so enchantress is not really more interactive.

Anyways, without elephant grass, there is no way to build enchantress. Anything that is in legacy enchantress is in modern, just more expensive in terms of mana. Mesa Enchantress = enchantress, Privileged Position = sterling grove, Idyllic Tutor = other tutor, Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety = grass...

@Boza well i think its more interactive than "im just gonna keep slapping my crap on this puffball and you do whatever you want, i dont care" ive been thinking of using Mesa Enchantress and Verduran Enchantress for the Legacy ones, Greater Auramancy over grove, using Utopia Sprawl for a little ramp.
