What deck makes you feel the worst?

My ur delver deck is still tearing ass; However it makes me feel like a turd. So far no other deck I have makes me feel so scummy. -Played and won 3 games with it last night and each was exactly the same,.. opponent starts tossing their cards to the graveyard incredulously after the first 5 counters/burn spells. LOL like "this goes here right? Dick."
What decks do you have that make you feel like a scummy turd?
Mostly because all the tutoring I do and everyone else has to wait shit load of time. Also because all the destruction.

I play Soul Sisters, but because it's a white weenie deck, people legitimately can't hate me for it.

Yaman I play infect too it draws some heat. There's nothing like the look in your opponents eye when you t3 them.
February 6, 2015 6:59 a.m.
I've never played sisters- I heard it can be a real frustrating game though

I bet Sisay feels just like Momir to play- like that poker commercial with Kenny Rogers lol.

G/W Bogles. Quick kills where the opponent can do virtually nothing about it game one unless they are playing B/G/x. Oh, and Mono White Turbofog...yeah, people dont like that deck.

People hate control just because they can't compete with the best strategy. Dude, you don't fight control.
February 6, 2015 7:34 a.m.
People don't have control because they can't compete- when I switched from a counterspell and hand control strategy to more of a lifegain and removal one, my friends said they enjoyed playing against me FAR more.
February 6, 2015 7:37 a.m.
I go back and forth on which I prefer- I play aggro and tempo basically. Tempo's growing on me but not my friends lol.
February 6, 2015 7:38 a.m.
There's another thread up where people are discussing something similar- delver and BGx's relatively similar percentages (15% delver before the ban 13% bgx now). Nobodys screaming for siege rhino to be banned...cuz' nobody hates midrange. Everybody hates tempo.

People hate control because people want to play magic and see their deck do cool things, which control is actively trying to prevent at all times. Why would someone like a deck actively trying to stop them fromachieving anything? That being said, I myself play control at times. I dont feel tempo is hated, It is one of the more interesting strategies IMO.

I don't know, people I know hate combo and control far more than tempo or midrange. Of course, our meta is an inbred system of nothing but combo/control and full combo decks.
Anyways, their faces when I turn 2 them with Heartless Summoning is priceless. "But....but...I don't have the mana to counter that....."
February 6, 2015 8:29 a.m.
Well delver is pretty damn controlling tempo. Especially since the cruise ban- we're using snapcaster and electrolyze again- and I'm using a full set of remand :) Its basically just as scummy as pure control
February 6, 2015 8:41 a.m.
I'll admit there are games where the opponent just has no chance when playing Boggles.
February 6, 2015 9:13 a.m.
Well, yeah. Counterspells and discard, I feel, are the main offenders for why people hate control- it is quite a psychologically different effect to have your spells and creatures resolve and then removed rather than stopped before they had a chance to become anything in the first place.
As a control player, I enjoy having an answer for everything and having a slow game. But I don't enjoy making my opponent hate playing against me, so I have started channeling my answers to be removal rather than Mana Leak and Thoughtseize.
Of course, combo is annoying, but hey- that's what Slaughter Games is for, right?
February 6, 2015 9:39 a.m.
Pretty much. Getting T1 Inquisition of Kozilek followed by T2 Mana Leak followed by T3 Thoughtseize and Mana Leak is enough to Drain Power from the fun for most people.

Enchant it with Splinter Twin or target it Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker'activated ability, Whrn the Token enters the battlefield you can untap one either the Kiki, or the original exarxh with the twin on it.
It works with Pestermite, Deceiver Exarch, Village Bell-Ringer and Breaching Hippocamp.
Restoration Angel Also works with Kiki, As the token practically untaps Kiki.

It's funny because I play esper stoneblade in Legacy and go up against ridiculous combo crap like tendrils and omnishow and most of the time still just win with Spell Pierce and Force of Will. A lot of them get mad/frustrated but what do they want? You play combo decks that 95% of the time you can't win against without counter or discard spells! It gets to me sometimes when I say "good game" and they don't say anything back lol I really hate people getting butthurt about it, when you can't beat Counterspell it's probably time to build a better deck. I also think that people forget Cavern of Souls, Boseiju, Who Shelters All and Orim's Chant are cards...
This is the deck more or less, it changes from week to week: Esper Stoneblade - Banlist Update 01/14
I also have an Azami EDH deck that wins with Mind Over Matter and Laboratory Maniac very consistently, I only play it when other people are playing super abusive/combo decks though since it just wouldn't be fun or fair otherwise.
