What is this Modern deck doing, and why?

Spoilers Show

4 Zur the Enchanter but only 6 enchantments it can find?
4 Geist of Saint Traft in a meta of Tarmogoyfs, and other beasties that can easily block it?
No Thoughtseize at all?
I do not know what is going on.

Also you can Abrupt Decay enchantments. You can Thoughtseize things out their hand. The only say way to do it is with both Zur AND Geist being on the battlefield together and Zur attacking: which is conditional. Thats my problem with this deck. It's all conditional. It performing very well depends on a variety of factors being met, whereas most decks don't need to jump through hoops. Unless they're like Collected Company.

So this deck does well IF X is on the battlefield with Y and then it manages to do Z. You need multiple specific things to happen that are all easy to disrupt. Whereas most decks just win by like playing a single creature.....

This deck just wins by playing a single creature... It doesn't need both zur and geist, though that would be ideal. All of the creatures can win on their own.

It wins by playing a single creature that tutors up enchantments..... a 1/4 on its own does not win games.

Well, a 1/4 that finds removal and Spreading Seas and then thassa does win on its own, but that semantics. Anyway, my argument is that zur doesnt need geist to be very good.
