Why is Windbrisk Heights any good in modern Soul Sisters?

Windbrisk Heights seems to be a highly played card in modern Soul Sisters. On the surface level it doesn't seem to be that great with the low mana curve of Soul Sisters. Why is it so highly played?

It is played because it's a source of card advantage in white, notoriously the worst color for CA.

It's used because the gameplan is to consistently attack with three creatures or more, and to hide something like a Honor of the Pure under it as a combat trick.

It gives you a way to cheat in creatures that might be a higher cost like Hero of Bladehold. It's uncounterable and cheap compared to paying for everything. I have all 3 on color hideaway lands for my Mayael the Anima EDH deck b/c paying one mana on the condition you play the deck to cheat in a Worldspine Wurm is pretty fantastic

It's not about playing anything big. Soul Sisters, like OP said, has a low curve.

However, because it is so easy to turn on in the deck, it becomes analogous to drawing a card. Drawing a card off of your land drop is just innately powerful.

Honestly, it's because you often attack with 3 or more creatures. The card advantage is sort of a "why not" in such a deck, which triggers it nearly as often as tokens.

It's best used with something like Archangel of Thune, as that card gives your team of Soulmenders an instant power boost, kind of like an Overrun.

I hear its because people like to splash Worldspine Wurm to sneak it it ;)

Yeah, card advantage. You don't really run Bladehold or anything, but even the low curve stuff is worth cheating into play. In the Hero of Bladehold vs Ranger of Eos conundrum, the Ranger is pretty much better for the 4-drop slot. Not to knock Hero, she's my favorite creature in Modern!

Because we get to cheat out expensive things like Archangel of Thune and make people rage-quit. It also gives us instant speed spells.

Like GlistenerAgent said, it's basically just because we often attack with lots of creatures. There's isn't really a reason not to run it.
