Why is Living Death banned and not Living End ? Im not complaining, just curious. I do prefer Living End myself.

Because Living Death was never printed in a Modern-Legal set?

Yep. Banned and not-legal are not the same thing. Modern consists only of cards printed in 8th Edition and newer, not including cards printed in special sets.

Wow! Now I feel idiotic. Thanks for the answer anyway.

Maybe I shouldn't post when I've been awake for 29 hours : /

This is why I hate that they decided the criteria for Modern would be Modern-style borders...they reprint Legacy/Vintage cards in supplementary sets (I'm looking at YOU, Sol Ring ).

I wish they would use timeshifted borders from Planar Chaos for these cards, like what's on Blood Knight , to give some indication that "this card is different and you should find out why."

Plus, they'd look sweet as peaches to get different bordered cards of old-school favorites.

/end rant.

I am in agreement. Sounds feasable too.

Blood Knight was actually color shifted not necessarily time shifted. As its just a red version of White Knight . Much like Damnation = Wrath of God

@MisterRoach: Yar. I'm just talking about that type of border where the card has Modern text, but the old background. I don't know if the border of Fiery Temper with a new symbol would be preferable to Blood Knight , since it might look completely out of place with the product. Having a Modern border on non-Modern cards, like Ash Zealot , leads to too much confusion.
