Hello Tappedout,

I am writing today because I have a friend who is very much interested in playing Modern, and also wants to play Naya colors (only). He likes Zoo, but I'm concerned about how viable it is in the current modern metagame. It seems like a decent strategy but I don't know if it is fast enough for burn/affinity or resilient enough for Abzan/Twin. Is it viable? Are there better Naya decks? It would be played at an FNM level probably and there are no budget restrictions. Additionally, if I could get some good Zoo lists that would be awesome. Thanks.

The best naya deck is Burn lol

ThisIsBullshit - I already play Naya burn so he doesn't want to. Should have specified.

Well first you gotta decide, Aggro zoo or midrange zoo? One plays the trifecta and curves out at like 3 while the other plays a set of mana guys and has a higher curve. The bad news is both NEED goyf to survive the meta. You can substitute them for now with something else but be aware if you want to go any higher than FNM, goyfs are a must

I think he doesn't care. He wants me to find him a Naya creature based decks that wins. He can get Goyfs haha.

Zoo has a 58% in modern dailies from the data this guy collected.

Well, do you want like a straight copy/paste of a deck, or the staples of Zoo and stuff like that?

Good deal.

Little Zoo

looks like MTG salv removed big zoo primer? It might be in the above link but there's a ton of info there on deck theory and such. That should get him started
