Why to use Scryfall

Scryfall has allowed me to brew decks with such ease and range for some time now--and I since I see people asking for "cards that do X please!" all the time on TappedOut, I thought I'd share the wonder that Scryfall is.
Note: WotC's own version, Gatherer, is similar; ultimately, use whatever you want--the websites are fairly interchangeable. I personally feel Gatherer looks like it hasn't been updated in years (code and image wise, all the cards are there)... but that may well just be me.
A few tips to get started on Scryfall:
-
Look at the formatting tips. The advanced search feature is actually quite simple, but using code like t:squirrel and c:rgw saves so much time instead of going to the advanced search every time.
-
Check out the "full" option at the top of the page once you've searched something, it allows for a much quicker time seeing prices and such without clicking on each individual card.
-
Those of you acquainted with code will have an easy time with this: use "OR" in conjunction with parentheses and two criteria points to filter a lot broader of field of cards. For example, "(c:wu OR t:legendary)" returns cards that are either Azorius OR legendary--not both or neither.
-
Use "fulloracle:/^[^"]*:.+$/" when searching for activated abilities: this is the sort of thing I wish I knew when I got started!
-
Keep a tab open with a list of cards you frequently search for--I keep all the ZNR MDFC's just a click away.
Have fun finding all sorts of cards in a flash!

Advices 3 and 4 are pure gold! Thanks for that.
A function I've learned that's very useful is the "-". For example, if you want to find to leave artifacts out of your results, just type "-t:artifact" in addition to your other criteria. Very useful.
