Nonsensical bannings!?

Just really wanted to hear opinions on why a card would be banned "Online" but remain legal in Paper Pauper? Example: Sinkhole. Legal only in paper. And yes Sinkhole was a common in Alpha and Beta.

Would also like to hear suggestions for cards that you think should be banned or unbanned to balance the format.

Your first question isnt a matter of opinion. Cards like Sinkhole havent been printed at common on MTGO, which is how legality in the format is determined.

Paper Pauper is its own animal. There is no offical ban list since pauper is only supported by WOTC online. Many people use the online banlist or the card kingdom banlist. Personally, my buddies and I just play whatever we find.

As for balancing the the format. I think it is in a pretty good place are now. i play boros kitty and stompy (when playing seriously), however, so my opinion maybe biased :)
