Hey all, I'm kinda new to pauper and need to find some kind of pseudo-boardwipe to answer this impossible affinity deck in the late game. I'm on tron, so mana isn't a concern. any suggestions?
IlGuale, I thought about rolling thunder, but the double red seemed hard to hit consistently, as well as it not being tutorable with Mystical Teachings. I might try it again. I like the idea of crypt rats, though. 4 mana to clear the board seems good, especially when I run so few creatures anyway. I also had the gorilla shaman earlier in the version of the deck, but it really didn't help in late game. sure, I can nuke their lands, but if they already have enforcers and atogs out, it really doesn't do much. Granted, it is a savage turn 2 play, but it never showed up when I needed it to.

If you're playing paper, then I suggest Fireball.
Otherwise, on MTGO, maybe try Evincar's Justice? it deals 2 per shot, and with a buyback of , you can return it to hand and cast again (and again) if need be, if mana's not a concern. Live points may be though.
If you can ping whenever you want, Inflame might work.

Crypt Rats is not good, since you need a lot of colored mana.
Honestly the best answer is in your main - Fangren Marauder - it is not only big enough to tussle with all non-Atog creatures, but any time you kill one of their artifacts, you gain 5 life per marauder. So, you just need to outgain them.

Boza, I run marauder in my sideboard at the moment, with a fierce empath to help tutor. I have yet to actually draw it in time, but it probably is the best answer, since it is not only value, but straight shuts down the fling plan. What is your opinion on Gorilla Shaman against affinity? it feels like a sweet combo with marauder.

If you have 4 maruader main (which you should, if you are playing spheres and stars to fix mana), there is no need for other artifact hate.

Wurmlover, welcome to pauper!
I run affinity and WUBRG, which is a tron variant. WUBRG is usually a good match for Affinity, seeing as its main focus is to cast Fangren Marauder and sac a ton of artifacts. The marauder also triggers for affinity's artifacts, which negates damage dealt by Atog. With WUBRG, I run 4 Chromatic Star, 4 Chromatic Sphere, and 4 Prophetic Prism, to name a few, which help me build up Mana for my 3 mainboarded Rolling Thunder. The marauders also provide nice blocking fodder against Myr Enforcer and Carapace Forger

It you can consistently produce a lot of mana Rolling Thunder and Crypt Rats are good. Evincar's Justice has buyback but it doesn't kill their bigger threats. If you're looking for something to fight affinity, i'll suggest some artifact hate like Gorilla Shaman.
