Pauper (non-EDH)

Anyone out there playing regular pauper, either in paper or on MTGO? What decks are you playing right now, and how is the format shaping up? I haven't played pauper since last year, and feel really out of it.

Also, this forum is being hijack by pauper EDH talk and I wanted to bring it back a little :p

I keep moving Pauper EDH threads to EDH. EDH is the primary identifier for those decks.

I occasionally enjoy MODO pauper. I am a Mono Black Control kinda guy, but I've tried Kuldotha Boros to little success. It could just be me, though.

Affinity, as always, is huge. Mono Blue Delver is a thing, as is UR midrange. Stompy and Burn are present. Hexproof is there. and Izzet Blitz with Nivix Cyclops and Kiln Fiend is popular.

My personal favorite right now, though, is this new 5-color Domain deck, powered by Nylea's Presence . It plays all the best things - Brainstorm , Tribal Flames , Matca Rioters , etc.

Things that have gotten big in the past year are Gray Merchant of Asphodel , Nivix Cyclops , Delver of Secrets  Flip . Nylea's Presence as an enabler for Tribal Flames ,

That 5-color deck sounds awesome! I'm going to have to check it out.

I always played Mono-blue Delver, MBC with a splash of blue, and Affinity. Nice to know they're still around.

I'm running izzet blitz right now, super fun. Capable of turn 3 wins consistently, although soon i am looking to build a more original list just because, ya know, why not.

I can't really say how the format looked a year ago, as i didn't play, but i know now the format is basically deathly fast aggro. Some of the top decks are Mono Blue, Izzet Blitz, Mono Black Control, occasional burn and artifacts.
