Sanctioned Pauper?

This question has probably been asked in the past: could paper Pauper become a sanctioned format in a near future?

It's definitely a possibility. I don't really expect it to happen though.

I'd love it personally if some sort of budget/pauper format were even an occasional FNM format. But it seems unlikely, as demand for non-pauper cards is what drives box buying and such.

Standard is the only constructed format that drives "box buying"...

No? There's a reason wizards prints legacy and modern cards like Spirit of the Labyrinth , Deathrite Shaman , etc. They don't appeal only to standard- obviously DRS sees no play in standard competitively. While standard drives it the most, wizards usually includes a few legacy and modern cards in each set.
