Time to Invest in Pauper?

I've been hearing a lot of whispers of big players/shops trying to push Pauper to become a more widespread paper Magic format, with people even arguing it should be a GP format. So is it time to invest in a Pauper deck or is this something that is never going to happen?
I do not think you can invest in a format where you can buy all 10-12 top tier decks for the price of the latest standard bomb mythic playset. Whether or not Pauper gets paper recognition is irrelevant to its popularity - buy 8 decks and organize the tournament yourself in your LGS!

Pauper is nice and all but I don't see it becoming a thing like that. Maybe as an organized side event at a GP at most. Pauper EDH would be the easiest way to organize a tournament at your LGS, if you're interested in that.

As one of the most knowledgeable pauper players on this site - I haven't heard any discussion about it being considered, and I don't think It should become a GP format, Even though I love the format to death It wouldn't be good at a GP.
I think buying a couple of pauper decks is never a bad thing. For one they're cheap and fun to play. Even if you don't have an LGS that runs tournaments you can still play with friends. I hope to see more LGS's whit pauper tournaments in the future.
