I'm trying to figure out if Nighthawk Scavenger is better than Vampire Nighthawk or vise versa.
They both cost 1 have flying deathtouch and lifelink.
The only real difference is that Vampire is a 2/3 solid while the Scavenger is 1/3 that can get bigger depending on your opponent graveyard (how many types of cards are in it). In laymens terms more consistent damage or less consistent but more potential damage (and life gain)?

Balaam__ I have yet to GY hate in my deck as I'm not sure if was going with scavenger or not plus my deck isn't really built towards that anyway, and since delve doesn't seem to be to big of thing in pioneer (I'm relatively new to pioneer so I may be wrong but I was looking at the meta and no delve decks are tier 1 ATM and since that being the case it less likely people will be playing it). So most likely will go Scavenger will wait to see if others say the same thing or not. THXS for your input though

Nighthawk Scavenger seems like it will be on par with Vampire Nighthawk in all games but with a chance and a good chance of being better than Vampire Nighthawk. Additionally they both have 2 black pips in its casting cost. With that being said there might be a "nighthawk devotion" deck here.

As much as I prefer the art on Vampire Nighthawk I’d lean toward Nighthawk Scavenger. That is, unless part of your core strategy involves nuking graveyards, or you know for sure part of your opponent’s will involve multiple different card types leaving theirs.
