Pioneer Azban Idea

With the release of Theros Beyond Death, we got many new toys. In particular, we got Calix, Destiny's Hand.

I was thinking of building a deck using that planeswalker and Lich's Mastery which woudl allow me to exile a creature or enchantment until an enchantment I control (Lich's Mastery) would be removed.

This would be permanent removal since if the mastery is removed, we lose the game anyways.

I have never built any lists using Lich's Mastery before and was wondering if anyone had any idea of how this could be built up?

I don't understand the concept.

Don't you lose the game if you remove Lich's Mastery?

In the current Abzan setup I don't think that Planeswalker is as good as others already being used.

You'd have to use it in an Enchantment heavy deck to get the most out of it.

The concept seems to be using Calix, Destiny's Hand to exile Creature/Enchantments under Lich's Mastery, the theory being that if the opponent can remove Lich's Mastery, they would win anyway, not just get their stuff back. Plus, Lich's Mastery has Hexproof, so harder to remove.

But that's a -3 cost on a 4 Loyalty Walker, so you wouldn't get it off too often, unless you also include methods to increase the loyalty (such as Ajani, the Greathearted

The thing Calix, Destiny's Hand does it that it exiles a creature or enchantment an opponent control until target enchantment you control leaves the field.

This means you can exile any creature and/or enchantment until Lich's Mastery leaves the field which cannot happen until you lose the game (or win it).

The good thing is that Calix can also help find your Lich's Mastery on turn 4 to play it the next turn.
