I know the odds are slim but I was wondering if there were any magic players in buffalo. I really don't have anyone to play magic with so any response would be nice.
Umm... ok... east side, west side, which suburb, etc. For example I'm from Lancaster/Depew/Cheektovegas area so I play at eastern hills mall. If you give me more info, I'd be better able to help.

Knight's Blade Gaming and Hobby

That was the closest result to WS. I've never heard of it personally. If you had a ride, there's a couple of options to choose from.
Are you looking for a place to play standard, modern, fnm, players for casual play?

I do go there for fnm, but once a week doesn't satisfy me haha. I like pretty much any format, draft, modern, commander, standard, you name it

Two Kings Gaming in Eastern Hills Mall does Modern every Sunday, except for the last Sunday of the month, which is Legacy. Modern is $5 to get in, 8 or so people and top 3 get in store prizes.
Gamerz Haven around Fillmore and Clinton does Modern at 6 on Mondays I believe. Details are sketchy for me on this as this is second hand info from a buddy.

for commander, gamerz haven has it on sunday, knights blade has it on friday, usually between 8-15 people so we split into pods

My suggestion would be to play on Magic Online and find some decks you like. Practice them a lot, and if you still like them, then buy them. Then just start going to the SCG Open events and WotC Grand Prix's in the area. There are usually one-two every month or two close to the NY area, like Rhode Island, PA and CT.
