Any Magic Shops near Chesapeake VA

Hello everyone,
I'll be moving to Chesapeake, VA for my 3rd year clinicals for medical school and was wondering if anyone knew the best place to play some magic would be?
Google searching has shown me a shop out near Virginia Beach but I was wondering if there was anywhere closer for day to day playing.

Battlegrounds in Midlothian VA has everything.

Battlegrounds is about an hour and a half away...lol It is a nice shop though :)

Wizards has a nifty little tool that allows you to see all stores that host officially sponsored events.

I generally find this list is a good place to start. You can look for places near you, then visit each of them to find the perfect fit.

I’ll check out Tower of games for FNM and maybe battle ground games if I need a weekend trip

Tower FNM is always draft. So depending on what you want to play will determine where to go. Comic Kings in VaBch has a really good Standard and Legacy FNM.

Hmm, I'll be living right next to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Do any of these places have modern?

The closest place that has Modern is Tower of Games on Wednesday 7PM $5 buy-in. I don't think any place does modern FNM here.

That's cool. I'm used to playing at Titan games in Maryland which does modern on Wednesdays as well (and they usually get a great number of people as well).

Depending on what format you play - will determine the better shops
Tower of Games - Virginia Beach (used to be in Chesapeake) is the closest thing depending on where in Chesapeake you live.
Atlantis Portmouth would be another option.
