I'm about to start my next semester at JHU, and my friends at school that played have quit. What stores are in the area? From what I could tell on the Wizards locator, the closest stores are a few miles away, and aren't easily accessible from my campus via public transportation.

Well my friend lordkilljoy just moved to Baltimore a couple days ago. He mainly plays Modern and some casual EDH, but he might be interested in exploring the stores.

Canton games is a fantastic store filled with lovely people and a kind owner. Just a mile or two out of downtown baltimore. It's a fantastic store. You can get a cab from downtown for like $7.50.

leave it to the british guy to give you directions on stores / taxis this side of the pond...what has this world come to??!!

in all fairness, i know nothing of the area, but perhaps ChiefBell has some experience on his girls playing magic excursions...I found a redhead once on my own excursion

Awesome, vault! I hope so!

I've been trying to figure out how to get there, ChiefBell. It would be at least a $20 cab each way, and public transportation looks like it would take about 45 minutes to an hour each way. Too bad I'm not at the Med Campus, that would be so easy. Thanks for the reference, though!

Ahah, Khanye, I guess Chief enjoyed his time in the "Greatest City in America."

You've lost me with the second statement though.

Shame you're a bit far out.

Yeah.... The closest store is about a 15 minute drive North. The local college shuttle that goes up that way stops about 1.5 miles before it and 1.5 miles after it. Baltimore is letting me have my Magic fix.

EDIT: Short drive, but hard without a car.

What about Zipcar? Does you campus have that? I know WPI has a special agreement regarding their college students for like $5 one way, so it would only cost you $10 total, you just have to choose the times in advance when you would drive and the car will get to you.

Yeah Just looking at Zipcar's website, there are a whole slew of zipcars near campus, so that should be able to provide the cheep transportation you need.

@ Coinman1863 -- I didn't realize that they had a college deal. I even have an account. Do I drop the car off at a Zipcar location and then another will be there or do I just park and keep the same car until I return?

Zipcar is all over campus here haha. I think there's 4 locations right off of the main campus.

It doesn't look like that discount applies to Hopkins students :/

How about this? This might help.

August 24, 2015 7:14 p.m.

Ah yeah I found that, I get the hourly rate for those, unless I'm missing something.

Well, I know that you don't have to rent it the whole day just the time you are using it, so beginning and End on FNM and only an hour, that what I heard from my brother anyway. Worcester is strange like that I guess.

But thats all I got, sorry to disappoint.

yeah sorry don't know about Baltimore, but if you could make it up to Frederick, I'd suggest looking into the Historic Haven.

@ Coinman1863 -- Does he drop off the car once he gets there and then picks up a new one for his drive home? Thank you for the help though! :)

I'll try to remember that Nephilim :)

Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie. My friends and I play there. Good crowd, decent prize support, very friendly staff.
