Inspired by an old Cardboard Crack cartoon, this year we're doing a crack-a-pack Advent calendar :-)
We've got packs from 25 different expansions, so we're looking forward to seeing a bunch of cards we've never seen before. They're all super-cheap though, so we're not expecting anything amazing. Still, you never know!
Anyone else in?
December 24th
Looks like we're wrapping up with Theros block, with Born of the Gods our pack for the 24th.
It wasn't a particularly strong pack, but it was a really fun one. We cracked a couple with the Inspired mechanic (Warchanter of Mogis and Kragma Butcher), a couple with Bestow (Nyxborn Triton and Flitterstep Eidolon--our #3), and a bunch of combat tricks (Sudden Storm, Aspect of Hydra--our #2), and Necrobite). We'd forgotten about Tribute, and it was neat to see it again on Thunder Brute.
Revoke Existence made us chuckle, because as TheDevicer pointed out the other day, there just isn't much removal in Theros block!
1st Pick went to Archetype of Courage and our rare made us smile, especially considering the one from the 23rd:

December 25th
Our final pack was Journey into Nyx, and it was kind of an underpowered way to wrap up our Advent calendar.
Bladetusk Boar was a perfectly playable common, along with Aerial Formation, Rise of Eagles, and Supply-Line Cranes. We were liked Magma Spray as a card, but especially for the art. Any of them would have made a decent Pick 1, but And we ended up a little split, between the Eagles and Sightless Brawler.
We were a little surprised to see our rare:

Not a big fan of Theros. GIVE ME REMOVAL, PLZ! When you make me glad to pick Sip of Hemlock, we have a problem.
