I've been partial to red/black. We get kinda get the pendulum effect. On the red side we get super aggressive stuff but on the black side get amazing control cards as well so when you mix you get really fun midrange decks. Plus vampires. Vampires man.

My personality aligns strongly with blue and black, but my favorite color pair is either blue-red (combos galore) or black-green (because the graveyard is fun).

Dimir is probably my choice for anywhere that isn't EDH. In EDH, it's Simic.

I like Boros the best, but I feel like Green/White is the strongest, at least in Modern. Or perhaps Izzet, since, you know, Twin and Delver.

If I wanted to play a traditional Control deck where I just stop everything the opponent does and then eventually cast a big bomb, I would actually pick for most of the blocks. So much removal it usually doesn't matter if something resolves. You just kill them harder and gain life to offset their burn spells. Oh what's that? Sulfuric Vortex? Ha! Mono you make me laugh!
With all of that said If I was going to play aggro I would want to be playing either Vintage Goblins or Vintage/Legacy Elves (not sure what the difference is, or if there is one, between legacy and vintage elves.)

What do I want to play? because I want to pump out a ton of creatures and make them bigger.
How do I want to do it? so they hit faster and harder than you want to deal with.
What do I end up playing? so that you can't stop it from coming in and smashing face.

Clearly Blue and Green. Good mana and creatures from green, loads of draw and other tricky stuff from blue. Power and finesse combined.

This is an interesting question. For play style, I really like UB because I'm very much a control player. However, it depends on the format.
Modern is definitely UW. Standard is UB (though I currently play UG due to budget). And drafts depend on the set. For Origins, I've had good success with RB.

Dimir mill is very fun for me. I dorm like control though, that's boring. No I don't really like phenax mill, cuz that's just play creature and mill them, no turn one mill five. But the strongest, at least in the current meta, is... Huh. Idk. Out of the two colored ones I'd say it is blue black tutelage. Mills em out.

As single colours I prefer white and blue, but I am a fan of Black and white together also. Lots of ways to remove threats/gain life and a huge selection of great creatures.
