This is probably a very weird thing to post, but its more of a question in a way.
Anyway, everyone at my LGS seems to know just where events in our area are every week. Whether its a PTQ or an IQ they seem to always know. My question is how? Is there a specific site everyone uses that I just don't know about? A specific place to just know? Or are they just MTG Oracles?
Sorry to sound like a noob posting this, I just really want to know what event will be going on in my area like everyone else.

http://locator.wizards.com/ lists all the scheduled sanctioned events, so you just enter your location and take a look. Also, a lot of the time it's simple word of mouth, I find out about a lot of events along the lines of "hey, are you going to that PTQ in?".
